One leg down...a billion steps to go!

Well, we had a great Christmas and are quickly approaching the New Year. The most memorable moment for us was when we went through the "What God wants for Christmas" nativity set and watched the "light" come on for our children. It was so priceless when they realized that all God wants is us. How precious. However, our most unexpected moment was after Michael's family Christmas when he and the guys decided to play a game of family football. Michael now has a broken leg and to be honest I am not sure who even won. So, we are excitedly entering the new year with great expectations. It will be so neat to see what God has for us this year as we continue to trust in Him to do His work. Please continue to pray for health and safety for each member of our family along with a speedy recovery for Michael, and that God will continue to order our steps as we finish raising our support. We appreciate you all being a part of our journey and hope that your Christmas was as memorable as ours.....just a little more safe!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from the Corbin's! Every year is so delightful for us as we take the time to realize how much God has blessed us and provided for our family. Just over 6 years ago we were still praying that God would intervene and bless our family with children. In our earthly eyes we did not know if we would ever hang stockings or have fun Christmas mornings with children of our own. We count our blessings: Gabriel, now 5, and Naomi 3, both Miracles of God! What a great time of year to stop and think of all of the ways God has protected, provided, and ministered to your family. So, we say Merry Christmas (with the emphasis on Christ!) May HE be the center of every moment this holiday season. Hope you enjoy a few pictures of our little miracles (when they were little!)

A Season of Thankfulness

We cannot begin to describe how thankful we are to our God and Savior for this time in our lives. Never before have we been afforded so much. The opportunity to meet so many new and wonderful people, step out of our comfort zone, and the ability to focus on a greater purpose in life. It is so great to have a designated holiday to remind us to be thankful. But the truth is we were already thankful. Thankful for new opportunities, a sold house, 2 miracle babies, a God centered marriage, and being called by God to make a difference in the lives of others. God is good! So, if you have in any way been a part of our lives or if you are a part of our current journey, we are thankful for you too!

"I'm Letting Go"

I pulled up our blog today to look at it and see what needed to be done. The music began "I'm Letting Go" (hopefully you have your speakers on when you visit our site). Both Gabriel and Naomi began to dance and sing along as my youngest declared "this is our song mommy"! What an innocent reminder of what God is doing in our lives! We are letting go of everything that we have ever planned for our lives, and we are committed to not looking back. We have lost control of our destiny and are trusting in God for our future. We appreciate your prayers as we continue to trust and move forward in faith. We are daily praying for HIS blessings and guidance as we continue to meet with people and raise support.

Moving On

We are now temporarily settled in an apartment in Georgia. We continue to raise support and are constantly amazed at how God orders our steps and prepares our way. We have been so blessed over the last weeks to meet so many new people who all share a passion for what God has called us to do. God is faithful! Over the last weeks we have also enjoyed the onset of fall and all of the fun of the season. Naomi just celebrated her 3rd birthday! She is such an amazing little girl. Gabriel is now old enough that he got to carve his own pumpkin this year! There is nothing more exciting for parents than children using sharp objects for the first time - ha ha! We just returned from Florida where we enjoyed time with good friends and family. We hope you enjoy the pictures of our fun over the last weeks (Naomi the BIG 3, Transformer Gabriel & Sunflower Princess Naomi, and some of our fall fun). Thank you for your prayers and support. We love you all!

Another Miracle

After we fully understood that God was calling us to FamilyLife, we came home and began to get things in order. Selling our house remained at the top of the list. We knew that even if our support was fully raised, if the house was not sold, we would not be free to move. We began to pray that God would provide a buyer for our home so that we would be free to move in His timing. Listing a house in the Atlanta market is less than encouraging with many people telling us how their homes had been on the market for well over a year some as many as three years with no buyer. We listed our house at the end of June and had an offer on Labor Day. We closed on our house in less than 90 days. Praise be to God!
