We are back from our almost 5 week support raising trip! Our praise goes to God for keeping each one of us healthy, giving us safe travels, and blessing our trip with new ministry partners. Our trip took us from Florida through Louisianna, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Our last week was spent in Arkansas in meetings and looking for our home.
So the lastest news that we have is that we will be moving sometime after Christmas! God brought in an additional 18% of the support that we need and provided our house!
It feels almost surreal that we are now in the final stages of raising our initial support. We are tired.... Yet through it all we feel encouraged and ready to run the race to the finish with endurance. Hebrews 12:1

Thank you for your prayers!

I just stopped over from Lisa Shaw's blog and wanted to say how much I appreciate you answering the call to work in missions. My oldest daughter [Becky] and her husband and children will be packing up all of their belongings in less than a month and moving to Haiti as full=time missionaries there - after language school - sometime in March 2010. They have 3 kids -4 and under! There are just not enough young people going to places to replace those who have served for decades. Giving up their "stuff" - their home and all their tresured possessions has been hard. They are selling and giving away most everything so they can go. Most people think it should cost less to move to a foreign country but on the contrary it is much more expensive and sending those things by cargo containers in not cheap.
I commented under this post of yours because it is hard raising support. So many are willing to give and send - yet so many have no idea why you would do such a thing. They do not understand the sacrifice or the dividends!
May God show you His favor and His blessing as you set forth to serve in His kingdom purposes!
Choosing JOY,
Stephanie
